Complex Concept, Clean Visual
Collaborating with two departments can be a challenge and four adds real complexity. The McAfee Network Security Framework had never been expressed as a visual. Brainstorming and note taking with stakeholders were the first steps, followed by a slew of whiteboard scribbles and review rounds. Our fragmented beginnings needed to culminate in a 3D model that they requested to look sturdy and unbreakable, plus 2D art that each team could use in various apps.
Success
Collaboration, and Graphics, Achieved
The resulting diagram was clean and clear and even symmetrical, which made it easier to take in as a collective whole. The 3D model was made to look like steel and the 2D diagram was both used as a whole but also had each element broken to individual components to show portions or builds within slides. The final deliverables united not just the component parts, but also made alliances across departments.
